Who We Are - Property Tax Consultant

Troy D. Bearden is our business personal property tax specialist and owner. With over 13 years of experience in the business property tax field, Troy has the expertise to handle all aspects of a company’s property tax needs including preparing annual property tax renditions, exemptions, asset valuations and appeals before Appraisal Review Boards. His background in accounting, thorough knowledge of the property tax code and working relationships with the appraisal districts around the state has assured that our clients receive the highest level of service and that our client pay no more than their fair share in property taxes.

Prior to starting The Business Property Tax Group, Troy worked for the Travis Central Appraisal District as a Personal Property Appraiser. This experience has given him a clear understanding of the inner workings of the appraisal district and thorough knowledge of the methods and procedures used by the appraisal districts. In addition to his experience with the appraisal district, he also worked as a cost accountant for a large manufacturing firm in Austin.

Troy is a licensed Senior Property Tax Consultant by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, #2656. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Southwest Texas State University with a concentration in accounting in 1987.
